We booked a private snorkeling day trip that also included to stop at a bird nature reserve. Captain Tony and his brother,Alberto made us lunch as we swam on the beach and then took us the the coral reef for snorkeling. We had children 13,10,and 7 years old in our group. We also had seniors age 62 and 65. He... More

We had read a lot about Captain Tony. Everything we read was true and more! On the way to see the whale sharks, we ran into a group of giant manta rays. He immediately stopped the boat and yelled to everyone to jump in. It was amazing. No other boat stopped or even saw the rays. Tony and his daughter... More

Before our trip to Isla Mujeres, I had done a lot of research on the best whale shark tour guides-- with his rave reviews, Captain Tony definitely won our vote and we emailed him to reserve a spot on his boat. The two things that appealed most to my boyfriend and I, is that he is a local and he... More

El Capitan Tony is much-liked and well-reviewed in online forums. You will probably end up on someone else's boat for your whale shark trip - one of the other coop members. We booked through Captain Tony, went with Captain Chili and mate Pappas. It was great.

DO THIS TOUR! You won't regret the breathtaking experience! My family and I sought out Captain Tony for his whale shark tour on the Guadalupana. While most whale shark tour operators charge $125 per person, Captain Tony only charges $100 per person. To make a reservation, email him - he is very kind and responsive. Captain Tony's shop is right... More

Today we did the trip with Tony and had an amazing experience. Tony is a very nice person and apparently very experienced in swimming with the whale sharks. Thanks Tony!

Captain Tony is NOT one of those looking to make fast money. He is fair and honest, truly enjoys taking small groups of people out to snorkel or cruise the waters. He will not go out if the wind or weather is uncooperative. He wants his customers to enjoy their experience. There were 4 of us on our trip. He... More

Tony, has so much information to share about Isla Mujeres and Conroy. His quirky sense of humor makes everyone relax and have a wonderful tour. We were so very lucky to be able to tour Isla with him and his daughter. What a fun duo to hang with for the afternoon! We can't wait to get back to Isla and... More

Low key, knowledgeable guy and his crew took us on a great day trip. Captain Tony is the first boat to the island, the island is beautiful, he and his crew feed us a wonderful lunch, then took us snorkeling. Amazing fish and wildlife! Learned some local history. Highly recommended! Worth every Peso.

Good: Island is beautiful, food was amazing, crew was very attentive. Bad-dude used the bait and switch. He told us, in emails and person, that we would snorkel at the island. Instead the crew took us over to Cancun to pick up more people and then we stopped on some dead coral to snorkel. When we did arrive at the... More
