We stopped to visit Iglesias de Concepcion Immaculada on the Isla Mujeres. It was easy to get to with our golf cart. The Catholic Church is lovely. It is beautifully decorated and a quiet oasis.

After May 20th in celebration of the Catholic Church being in the new world 500 years there will be a large mural completed on the south east side of the church. Also new bathrooms. Taking care of an Isla relic!

We were there the day after Easter and it was still decorated up with flowers and Easter decorations. Stopped and kneeled for a prayer. Very moving place. Just loved it! The Stations of the Cross were so unusual.

This church is very simple but lots of participation. The Stations are 3 dimensional clay/relief of hands only. Very nice. Mass is nightly at 7pm and Sunday 10am.

Pretty, serene, open air worship space. Worth a quick stop as you explore the island. English mass on Sunday mornings. Nice little gift shop selling jewelry and gifts at very reasonable prices.
