Every time I come to Merida, I come here and go inside. Just love the building. Often they have activities in the park.

This cathedral is located in the city center and area to visit each night for entertainment; street entertainment, dances, music, food and families strolling around.

A typical Spanish colonial church. Outside is very conventional and cold. Inside the ceiling is quite unusual due the squares carved on it. A major piece of architecture in Merida

We visited this a part of a free walking tour. The cathedral over looks the central square and is beautiful at night. Not the most beautiful of cathedrals however worth a little visit.
