Very pretty from outside. The staff were very friendly and patient. Always good to have some additional information about Merida.

Take the free walking tour. There are many free cultural activities in Merida. Mostly within walking distance.

We took advantage of the free city walking tour that starts at 9:30. It is a great way to spend an hour and the guide we had was very knowledgable and gave us a much better understanding of the city. Would recommend.

I enjoyed the free daily tours organized outside the Tourism Office. The guide spoke good English and did not go too far away from downtown. He answered everyone`s questions promptly.

Good place to stop into for info. There are English speakers, if needed. They helped me find English speaking tour guides for the ruins.

The cruise lines plan excursions to Celestun and Uxmal so they may also plan trips to Merida which is closer than Celestun to the Progresso port.
