This was a nice excursion, the horse drawn carts on rr type tracks was interesting. We had previously been to Sotuta de Peon and found it to be far more interesting and photo worthy, with Many other activities to enjoy (and donkey drawn carts) There was also a real meal included after the cenote.

We had a poor experience from the minute we arrived. There were a lot of people lined up for the horse carts, but transport had been suspended briefly to rest the horses. We were put onto a list and told to wait 1.5 hrs until our turn. Fast forward 1.5 hrs and it turns out the people in line had... More

This is a must see place to visit when in or near Merida! Make sure you visit all 3 spots especially the final sink that is in the dark! It's perfect for a lazy day of swimming and relaxing if you are in no hurry. We went on a Wednesday, early morning and had the entire place to ourselves! Part... More

I just returned from a three day camping trip here (You can camp here if you ask for permission) But the other times I have gone it has been for day trips. The ride in is really differnt. You go into the jungle on railroad trcks aón carts pulled by horses. These type of carts were once used on these... More

Our family (kids 9 and 4) went to Cuzama. As mentioned by others, it was a little harder to find than expected, we enjoyed going through the towns--but once you get to the town to Cuzama, look for the sign to the cenotes and then follow that another 8 min or so. You will see guys waving flags and at... More

We did this tour yesterday with our kids (6 and 8) and another family. It wasn't all that easy to find, but we eventually got there and paid 300 pesos per family. The horse drawn train ride was dodgy (to say the least!) and quite a bit longer than we expected. Our guides were very nice and did not mistreat... More

This is a new string of reviews of the Cuzama Sinkhole Tour. I have included, besides my review of this tour, e other reviews. Yes, it is a beautiful tour, just one item destroys the whole tour for me. We went to Cuzama, actually drove there in a rented car, and it was difficult to find. But by asking around... More

These cenotes are amazing. It is a completely different experice, a lot of fun for the whole family and a respite from the Yucatan heat. Getting from Merida to cuzama takes about 45 minutes. Once in Cuzama you take a small rail cart pulled by a horse to the cenotes. There are 3 cenotes, but one was closed due to... More
