A visit to the English Library is worth your time. If your in Merida for a while, also take their house tour. You'll be amazed at what is behind those simple walls that you see from the street.

They helped me with directions, internet, books on Merida. The tour and tourguide was outstanding. I got such a good idea of life in Merida from seeing houses and speaking with the owners.

Evalynn, our guide, knew a LOT about Merida and homebuilding. She was very informative and had three good properties to show. Worth spending a morning if you're a House Hunters fan and want to see real homes close up.
