Having never done a cave exploration or excursion it felt like now was the right time to do so. Good info about how and why the caves were discovered. Be aware that this is a somewhat strenuous activity and will involve water. I know it...More

First off - the ferry to get there. Yikes! Rough - vomit comet is right. Take some motion sickness meds before you go. It really helped. I didn't get sick but saw others getting sick. Van ride to the river - rough too! Almost as...More

We had such an amazing time here. Terrific customer service, and the cave was spectacular. Rene was our guide, and he was the best. He shared so much information with us and was just adorable. Our only problem was the absurd photo package they present...More

We made reservations in advance from our hotel (we would not have gotten in otherwise, as our 4 tickets were the last ones they had for that day) and drove ourselves to the location. Easy drive. Others have provided a wonderful description of the tour,...More

Definitely a bucket list experience. I don't understand how anyone can say "it's nothing spectacular". You are in a cave system underground walking through mostly undisturbed cave with stalagmites everywhere formed over hundreds of thousands of years and walking, hiking and swimming through pristine clear...More

We booked through our cruise and it was one of the top two we have ever done on a cruise vacation. Once we arrived in Playa DelCarmen, the ride to the area of the caves was interesting and well narrated by guide. The process went...More

With your cruise, you have surely an opportunity to book this experience, including the transportation. You have enough time for it. Beware of the bad sea with the ferry, if you have motion sickness.
