FIRAT river was running quietly between Halfeti city and Rumkale till the Birecik damn was constructed and Halfeti became a damn reservour. Some part of the villages and Halfeti remained under water.

Beautiful scenery, stunning rock formations, blue water! So serene and calm with great food by the floating resto by the river bank... The boat ride made it relaxing! I will be back to see the black rose!

One of the best places I have been to in Turkey. The almost 3 hour dolmus ride from Urfa to Halfeti offered gorgeous views of hills and churches. Highly recommended!
