This place is quite interesting since whole village was built for the factory workers. The factory itself is huge with nice clock tower but you can get inside just twice a day (guided tour). I really enjoyed walking round the village - the houses are well kept and the village must own magical gardener because all the gardens are amazing.... More

Walk around the city look like to be inside a movie. The houses are exactly the same, at the same position, the same form, everything the same, it's impressive.

We visited the village in the early Saturday morning, so there were no other tourists or visitors, just locals going about their morning routine. The village is beautiful with lots of industrial buildings from an old age, when they were actually made to look beautiful along the functionality. Makes for a really lovely walk.

Fascinating UNESCO world heritage site, great town for walking and educational excursion. Original worker housing with current residents living there today, try not to gawk at this beautiful neighborhood. Lovely cemetery just outside of center worth a visit.

You might not know it, but about 40 km from Milan there is a UNESCO world heritage village. This village is an unspoilt example of architectural history that goes back to the dawning of the industrial civilization. Crespi D'Adda was created to house the workers and management who worked in the village cotton mill and it is a complete testimony... More

You should visit this UNESCO heritage site with a guide or at least learn the story before you go there. Otherwise you'll be disappointed. The castle and the big old factory (which is the reason why this city is built) is closed. We've been told neither UNESCO nor the government is properly funding for the promotion and restoration of the... More

The place is very interesting and we were very looking forward to it. I was hoping to get some nice industrial photos . However when the office is closed there is absolutely no information available. You can wander around the town on your own, but you don't get to see the main attractions from close, like the owner's villa and... More

Very interesting site, it's well preserved so you can have an idea about how people working in the factories in the 19th century lived. We went there because it's in the Unesco World Heritage list. Very similar to the textile factories in Catalonia, whole villages where people were born, went to school, got married, had children, and died. And worked... More
