Going to the pools in Sao Miguel dos Milares was a nice experience all around. The jangadas depart from praia Porto da Rua. We hired a jangada from the Associacao de Jangadeiros. Quick and profesional all around. The cost was 50 reais per adult (they...More

The visit to the natural pools/coral reefs is definitely the best ecotour in the region. During morning lower sea tide, natural pools, isolated from open ocean, form for a couple of hours. The place is only accessible by locals' rafts, called "jangadas". These "jangadeiros" can...More

Preserved nature and stunning location. Better to visit these natural pools than those in Maragogi - Maragogi is simply too crowded.

While walking on the reef you can see in the holes a lot of different fish. You reach the reef partially walking on the beach and then by local boat. snorkelling is also an option

We felt like that old movie blue lagoon, with warm waters, the strong wind, and full of little fishes and marine life.

What a treat to make a trip with one of the local "jangadas" to the natural pools in the coral reefs and see all sort of marine life swimming underneath you!
