Since 2000, Coyote Canyon Adventures is offering the most exciting and highest quality family adventure tours available in San Miguel de Allende. We have half-day, full day and overnight horseback riding excursions available. Our expert cowboy guides lead you safely through working cattle ranches, into Coyote Canyon(a.k.a. Canada de la Virgen), through its river, over its plains, across its gorges, and down its sheer cliffs, all the while sharing with you their in-depth knowledge of the native flora and fauna. Their horseback riding excursions are exciting and rugged yet can also be tailored for families with small children or for seniors who would prefer a slower pace. Or if you require a little more adrenaline you can add some rappelling at the end of your ride or hike through the canyon. If you are interested in adventure tours we can offer activities such as hot air balloons flights, ATV's tours, rappelling... We also offer the finest tours available of the archeological site named "Sitio Arqueologico Canada de la Virgen", which is a 1600 year old pyramidal complex in the same area. And many other activities such as hot air balloons flights, ATV's tours, rappelling...

Our favorite adventure in San Miguel was the half day horse-riding in the canyons with Rodrigo and team. We enjoyed it very very much! The setting where you're doing the horse-riding is simply stunning. The crew led by Rodrigo also ensures that we are all safe, even for beginners. The home made lunch at the ranch after the horse-riding is... More

What an incredible way to experience Mexico! The guides "vaqueros" are so thorough and helpful, with you every step of the way. Felt safe at all moments, even during the steepest parts of the trip. Riding through the rivers and up the canyon was such an incredible experience...so glad we decided to book this tour with this company. Most delicious... More

We had a group of eight riders, two of which had never really ridden before, for a half day ride and lunch. It was an incredible ride and experience for all! The horses and cowboy guides were all great. We all stuck together riding through the beautiful canyons and ranches outside of San Miguel, including through some rivers and streams.... More

I had the opportunity to tavel to over 120 countries and had all sorts of good experiences, elephant rides in Asia, Safaris in Africa, Camels in the Middle East....however I never ejoyed a ride as much as I did with the Coyote Canyon Adventures crew. They Master the art of exceeding expectations. What they do for leaving does not look... More

Coyote Canyon never disappoints. I have been on several horseback riding afternoons over the years and it is always a wonderful adventure. Riding in the natural country outside of San Miguel de Allende broadens the experience of life and leisure in this spectacular town. Rodrigo, Diego and all the cowboys make riding not only safe, but, fun–always engaging with the... More

This tour is a must! Alberto gave us an excellent tour. We have visited other pyramids in Mexico but this one is special. Visitor numbers are strictly limited which makes the experience so much more authentic and engaging. Alberto speaks perfect English and was able to convey his archeological knowledge with wonderful stories. He also brought a notebook with incredible... More

Great communication booking and arranging for the day. A bunch of fresh, energetic horses. A fun ride leader and a number of helpful ride hands. Beautiful, dramatic scenery; loved crossing the river over and over, and, the chances to run with the horses were special. One of our top horseback rides!

From start to finish this was a fantastic tour, I would highly recommend it. Our guide Alberto was passionate and knowledgeable which made for a great outing. After the tour we had a delicious lunch at a local ranch which was part of tour. Thanks team Coyote Canyon Adventures.

I went to Coyote Canyon with a group of world travelers. It changed our lives! Our group was composed of people who've traveled all over the globe, and we all met in San Miguel de Allende (often voted as one of the best little cities in the world) to experience the adventures with Coyote Canyon. We were expecting horseback riding... More
