Without sounding sacrilegious, I'd say view this beautiful structure from almost everywhere in and around San Miguel, but skip going inside, unless you love standard-fare catholic churches. There are so many "don'ts" listed at the door (hats, cameras, food, etc.), which are understandable, but hardly...More

We have been before to la Parroquia, but we got in this amazing tour with Follow Me Tours. It was a special tour for the Day of the Dead. They took us to see the Crypts at the Parroquia and the old cemetery. We had...More

Hola, This church can well be described as “beautiful,” “towering,” or “intricate.” But my favorite description would be “magical” — and that is what it is as its towering, intricate pink sandstone is illuminated at night. Not to be missed. Gemma & Nick

You can't miss it since it is in the center of town and everything revolves around it's location. Just look up.

See it when you first arrive. See it at night, of course. See the inside as part of a tour, or during services. But you *will* see the Parroquia. This much is certain. Enjoy, and contemplate.

We had a guide, which I recommend. Built over several hundred years which you might not notice or appreciate without a guide.

One of my favorite activities is to watch the gorgeous weddings taking place at the Parroquia on Friday evenings and all day Saturday. There are usually beautifully dressed women, mariachis, the big dolls, the little donkey and a raucous parade. Best show in town!

This is one of many beautiful churches in SMA and a stunning example of ingenuity. It is in the middle of the action and visiting SMA you can always find something to do or someone to visit with in the Jardin, across the street.

Visiting with friends and this was the first stop on our tour of the city, amazing the size and detail of the work that went into building this church. Beautiful inside and wonderful to see the devotion of the worshipers inside the church. The heart...More
