We rode the local bus from the airport to our resort. We did this for two reasons: $ and the locals. Once on the bus (see the TAdvisor article on how to get to the bus stop...easy breezy) we talked to the locals in our pathetic Spanish and they told us about beaches, eateries, etc. Chileno Beach was mentioned time... Had a wonderful day here...brought our lunch and drinks. Got a little too sunburned but it was my own fault! Lots of "sea glass" treasures and the tropical fish are amazing!

Weather did not permit us to go to the arch Sea of Cortes to Pacific but a 2 mile trip around this beach was beautiful.

Chileno beach and medrano are both great choices for swimming if there is a nice weather. Amazing and delighted views!

You don't need to spend money on a snorkeling excursion, just drive up to the beach and go into the water. You can rent snorkeling equipment there. Our 5 year old grandson was thrilled to actually see "Dory" in the water. Only complaint is that the only bathroom facilities were portable potties.

You don't need to pay $100 for a boat trip. From this beach, you can snorkle to where the boats are and see plenty of fish. This beach is better than Santa Maria.

We snorkeled here in 2013 and wow have things changed. While it is still a beautiful beach while snorkeling you can see the destruction that the new resorts on both sides of the beach have caused. There are still lots of fish but they are getting to used to being fed, they practically attacked me when I took a piece... More

Follow to the signs to Chileno Bay Resort and Residence, to the Public Beach. Easy parking, follow the path to the beach. Gentle waves, gorgeous water, very scenic, and lots of fish to see near the rock formations. Showers to rinse afterwards. Not sure of other facilities to use however. Not too crowded, nice family beach. Very much enjoyed our... More

Took the bus from our hotel in Cabo. This beach was awesome. Water was crystal clear with lots of fish swimming all around. No shade at all. No food. No drinks. Bring your own everything. No vendors so was nice to sit peacefully without being pestered every 2 minutes.

This is a wonderful Beach for snorkeling. All the construction going on makes it a little more challenging and the beach is gotten smaller over the years due to the construction. But when you swim out and go around the corner to the right the snorkeling is amazing and their are beautiful fish.
