And here is the reason: no hawkers selling you everything under the sun. There is no food here...bring your own. This is a quiet, serene beach. Snorkeling! Cabanas for shade. Parking. Easy walk on asphalt to the beach. Beautiful sand. We loved it here and even went one more time right before we had to catch our plane home.

This is my favorite beach in Cabo. It's swimmable, you can snorkel here, it's easy to find, plenty of parking and new bathrooms (by the parking lot). Once you park, you do have to walk down a paved pathway to get to the beach. There are a few palapa's there so if you want to secure one of those, you'll... More

Well they have finally done it! Just left annual vacation in Cabo and went to Santa Maria for a day of relaxation and snorkeling. Completely surrounded by a damn resort! Yes it is now surrounded and a wall built down on the beach with the palapas on the Southwest side removed. Listened to equipment and hammers all day. So enjoy... More

Santa Maria has changed a lot over the years. When I visited last month, construction was underway for hotels and/or condos. The path from the new parking lot down to the beach is longer than from the old dirt parking lot, but it’s paved. (Keep an eye out for desert iguanas.) There are several palapas and a vendor renting big... More

The beach has recently been upgraded with a new parking lot, rest rooms, showers and sidewalk to the beach. Snorkeling to the right side of the beach was awesome. The water temperature was at least 10 degrees warmer than that at Cabo San Lucas.

Great for snorkeling and they have a nice reef as well. We arrived here via Cabo Escape - Breakfast Snorkel Cruise and had a great time since there are lots of fish and will get near you so you can get some great shots of them.

Well marked beach- easy to find. Plentiful parking and new, clean restroom facilities. Meandering paved path past new condo construction takes you directly to a breathtaking cove like beach. While it is a 5 star view--this beach is NOT sand but small rocks. They are not sharp but it is hard to walk because of the depth-- you keep sinking... More

whereas it is true that this beach is gorgeous you have to be careful because there is a lot of crime going on in cabo. we became victim of a criminal guard who was employed by the maravilla next to the beach robbing my wallet and hiding it in the guard shed 50 meters back from the beach. the criminal...
