I took a walk to the town to see what its all about. I discovered the Main Square and took some photos and enjoyed the atmosphere of a small town.

Headed to the square for the family art night where locals set up paintings and other arts or crafts in the square.$7 cab ride or 20 minute walk from our resort. Fun atmosphere, buskers and other entertainers around. Food vendors, gift shops and restaurants also all around the square.

We've visited the square several times during our visit to San Jose del Cabo. On Art Walk Night (Thursday), we walked all the way around the square. This was the most interesting to us. We saw the locals eating tamales that looked scrumptious. We saw dozens of young people practicing their dance steps, not on the stage, but on the... More

The main square is a great starting point. Lots of great shops in the area, never find the stores too pushy in this part of town. Lots of art galleries and higher end stores so fun to spend a day just shopping, chatting and looking at original art. Some great restaurants for lunch also.

I would say especially during the Christmas, New Years and Kings holiday season. The beautiful old church is right there and we saw a wedding there one day, and Aztec or some kind of Mexican Indian dancing. You can probably get a schedule of activities at the tourist office on the main boulevard right off the square.

Although the Thursday Art Walks are touted, once you pass the myriad jewelry and curio shops you will find the actual square to be quite pretty with higher end restaurants and shopping. THe art walk draw more than a hundred local artists with mostly pedestrian paintings on large easels. Big crowds can be expected as well. Visiting in the morning... More

We have been visiting Cabo for the past 20 years, returning twice a year for our vacation. We always have had a wonderful time. Finding new experiences and adventures to see. The people are friendly and the food is great.

this small town is magical and it feels like you are stepping back into time. There are many shops, galleries, cafes and things to see. The people are friendly and I felt comfortable walking around on my own. Twenty dollars from the Secrets resort each way. Was worth the price having a private, air conditioned taxi.
