Stunning library. Really ornate and well kept by the monastery. However, having paid full price at entrance in order to take photos it may be worth mentioning at the time that only non flash photography is allowed.

I couldn't believe my eyes. The library looks even better than the picture. It was amazing, feels like a fairytale library. Truly remarkable!

The Stiftsbibliothek (library) is simply a must: Largest at a monastary in Europe, bright and in baroque fashion. Do see the modern art and science collections in the same building (no extra charge).
One of the most beautiful libraries I have ever seen and my personal favorite. Wonderful architecture to be seen here.

Admont Abbey monastery located in the lovely town Admont, Styria, Austria. The oldest remaining monastery Admont Abbey contains the largest monastic library in the world, was built in 1776, today is famous tourist attractions very nice Museum, including nice garden.
Situated at the top of the Admont village with lovely gardens and beautiful surroundings, the Monastery and Church are worth a visit. The library is just magnificent and the history here in this building is awesome.
