Our tour group was on a walking tour of the Centro Historico, and all of us were eager to see the murals. We arrived at the Government Palace and were told that the building was being fumigated. They didn't allow anyone, obviously, to enter. A few days later I went back on my own. I was glad I had the... More

This is the municipal building which we can visit for free. Inner of the building we can find the guide of the Michoacan which offer us the must-visit in the states. And on the 2nd floor, we can find the wall paintings that show the history of independence of Mexico like other municipal buildings in Mexico.

Was fortunate to visit at night as part of a banquet. We were provided with a guide who explained to history depicted in the murals on that line the second floor gallery. Morelia is a beautiful city with many historic structures. This is a wonderful example.

This is right on Maduro. Don't be put off by the guards at the entrance. You sign the book and put in tourist. The murals by Valce are magnificent and well worth seeing.

if you can take a short guided tour to explain the murals they describe the history of the area quite well and it was interesting and informative.

Visit it at night. It's awesome. You can see the murals and from the second floor the cathedral. It is like going back into time. Building looks to be very well maintained and the fact that people have their offices in it is almost romantic.

Literally, this place has Mexico's history painted on the walls. From the independence to around 1968 you may find all relevant characters and actions in beautiful paintings on the staircases.

This building, located on the main square, is lovely. Inside, not atypically of Mexican governmental buildings, are impressive historical murals. These however do not reflect post-revolutionary fervor as they were not installed until the 1960's.

A visit doesn't take long and the building, courtyard, second floor balcony, and murals are well worth it.
