This is a beach in transition. After a prolonged dispute over access to the beach, the public is now free to enjoy this beautiful beach. Unfortunately there are very limited services available. We stopped in during a boat tour and brought our own food and...More

Beach wasn't what I expected. Quite small... a little rocky... some garbage around. But the snorkling off to the sides of the beach was quite excellent. Many varieties of fish to see. We hired a boat from Barra and he took us to this beach......More

Was taken here because it is one of the only places to snorkel in the area. It was closed for a number of years and is just starting to allow visitors again. There are no services. It is wild and beautiful. Bring your own everything.

Tenacatita is a great anchorage for boaters. Good swimming and other water sports. Jungle trip at far end a must. Careful with beach landing. Snotty hotel dont like cruisers. Get real. Charming town taxi ride away. Lovely long curved beach .

I used to love going to this beach. Had the most amazing snorkling and I never feared for sharks or anything. However there was a territory dispute and it wasn't open to the public for a time, and I'm not sure it is yet. But...More

We just drove from Manzanillo and planned our day trip based on the ratings of Barra de Navidad on this site as #1 place to go in the area. After going yesterday, we believe that #1 rating is WAY outdated. Perhaps a few years ago...More
