The place is really good for sure or even if you like to swim on big waves mostly. A lot of businesses are opening shop and there is pretty much anything you'd need nearby. The only issue is that most locals litter all around the...More

Zicatela is a blend of surfers, young people, beach clubs, bars and great food. The beach is a long strip of approximately 3km. A place to enjoy and chill.

The beach is amazing and pretty long, not crowded at all. There are some big waves that are really fun to play with, but be careful as it can be really strong ones.

I'm not a surfer but I had a beautiful stay on this beach, the view is beautiful and there is a Beach Club named "Kabbalah", which is the best! We couldn't swim in the sea due the dangerous waves but I definitily come back!

Playa Zicatella is just one beach of 4 in Puerto Escondido. It is the main surfing beach (mican pipeline) not a fishing beach. I have never seen any violence in Puerto Escondido and have been going there for over 20 years
