The beach was so crouded that in a moment was too much. I don't know if it was because of the fishing tournament but we did not enjoy too much the experience. Even thoug we get to a very good restaruant called Sabor a Mar just in the corner between Zicaleta and the main bay.

We visited in late November. The beach and waves look like Southern California beaches where the sea temperatures are rarely over 70F, but here the water temp is in the 80's. So expect hot humid days. May not seem that uncomfortable to many travelers, but I'm a weather wimp from SoCal. The sunsets and nights were beautiful. No fancy hotels... More

Right at the surfing hub this beach sees a lot of action - be careful swimming though, it is really meant for surfing! The whole place is buzzing in November for the sailfish tournament.

This is a long beautiful beach that is world-famous for surfing. The waves are intense so you can't go swimming, but its mesmerizing just to look at and watch the waves crash, or go for a long walk.

Great place to do or watch surfers, not for beguinners. Also nice to go for a walk early on the morning before 8 or in the eve. Not good if you would like to swim

Love this place . Not like Cancun, Acapulco, Huatulco. Peaceful laid back place. Beach is a surf beach. Great for long walks and sucking up the sun.

Beach has waves, except Dec. Surfers go to La Barra this season. Restaurants and accommodations are along side of long beach. Monthly rent is cheap here. Big wave on May, June. Surfing on Nov. Body board in summer.
