Pattadakal is a few hours away from Hampi, as Hampi (Hospet station) is well connected, it is advisable to stay in Hospet see Hampi, then next day visit Pattadakal...the ancient temples...grouped together, and carved so beautifully Is a sight to see. The journey to this place is worth it to see the ancient art forms. The gardens are well maintained... More

A stunning temple complex with some excellent craftsmanship and classic design. Situated in a pleasing sea of greenery and updated with stone paths connecting the temples, it is now accessible for everyone, including an electric golf cart for those in need. Plan on 60-90 minutes. A guide can help in sorting out the various temples. Only one is active, so... More

Well maintained temple complex. Glows in the sun. Good museum. Good information about various temple styles explained in museum. Wish they had a book with that info.

We visited this place a bit late in the evening, but it was worth it. Getting there is a bit difficult. You may feel like you are lost but just follow the GPS directions. Roads are narrow and not that great considering that its such as historical monument. But once you get there its worth it. Good parking. Try to... More

This complex is very good example of Architecture in India. Well maintained complex. But you wont get any food nearby. So plan properly if you are taking a day tour for Pattadkal and Aihole. Temples in this complex are very nice but are destroyed. Overall a very nice attraction.

Soothing place should visit during evening time. You will find lot of small Shiva temples inside and also a nandi temple. Peaceful place, you can visit the temples inside and just find a quiet place to sit and just absorb the beauty around. Inside one of the temples just opposite the nandi temple we found a painter/sketcher who paints the... More
