The museum displays a large collection of masks from all regions and various time periods of Mexico. There are nice explanations of meanings and uses of the masks.

If you like art, and especially masks, take 45 min-1hr and enjoy this museum. Have been to other such museums; this one had some unusual ones!

Located in San Luis Potosi´s center. It is an antique, beautiful house turned into a museum. You can appreciate masks from the pre hispanic period and other periods, as well as tradicional costumes wore by natives of the region. The masks colection is immense and you travel through time when walking through the areas of the museum. Entrance fee $3.... More

On the second floor there is a display of traditional women and men's clothing from the region. You can also find musical instruments, like drums. And they have a small... More

The actual building is beautiful on the outside and inside. The masks are located on two different stories and in different halls. The actual museum has a section dedicated permanently to masks and... More
