History lesson and diving
Sep 2020 • Friends
I was surprised there was an English tour available! The guide had a great vocabulary and the tour was very informative. After the tour we got to dive in amazing clear water. The grotta (cave) caved and now is basically a hole in this cliff. People can jump off the cliff inside the whole and bathe in the water coming in from the sea. Officially people are not supposed to stand around the hole and dive, hence when you get there they will tell you it is forbidden. Since tourist kept doing it anyway, the direction of the grotta della poesia decided to make it safe by hiring some kind of lifeguards, which will try to not have too many people standing next to the edge of the hole, which is at risk of collapsing.

Beautiful

Set right beside the Rocca Ruins, this was a nice afternoon walk.
We were not inclined to swim but it was enjoyable to watch the teens jump into the grotta.

Amazing place for a swim!
Oct 2019
Discovered this place in October, it wasn't too cold, or too busy, sometimes we had the pool to ourselves, I can imagine in the summer this place will be packed. Definately worth a visit though. The water is deep enough to jump into the pool, it's crystal clear. There is free parking a 5 minute walk from the attraction.

Magnificence natural swimming hole and stunning views.

This place was from a dream the rocks were unreal and the water crystal clear. We snuck off to a quiet place for some beers on the rocks after a few jumps. A must do.
Don’t park on the curb. We got a
Ticket. 😱 park in the designated car park 100 metres away.

Great fun but busy
Aug 2019
One of those things that looks easy but feels precariously high when you are standing on the edge. Obviously very busy in mid august and aside from a man stopping people going down the very narrow stairs during the peak hours, the rest is all unsupervised which is fine apart from the hoards of people getting to the edge and then taking 15minutes to decide if they do want to jump or not. Can be frustrating! The 'cave' is pretty to snorkel around and the real adverturous can jump from the cliff walls into the sea and then swim under the rock back into the cave.
There is a large pay and display car park not very far away.

Jump
Sep 2019 • Family
A must do, to visit in the area.
Can get quite busy, so pick your day and get there early...ish. A pay and display car park is a few hundred metres away.
The cliff jump isn't that high, around 6 metres, but still good fun. Getting back up to the cliff level via steps cut into the rock can be a bit slow, because non jumpers use the steps to get down to the water, and it's only single width really.
Look out for the fossilized forest tree trunks and roots on the rock plateau as well.

Stunningly beautiful bay!
Jul 2019 • Couples
Absolutely fantastic! The most beautiful little bay to swim in if you can get a spot on the rocks to sit. The water is turquoise and crystal clear. The bay is well protected and you can walk around the cliffs to a cliff diving site. We tried to go again but the weather wasn't so good and there was more of a swell so we decided it wasn't a good idea to go in the water as you have to climb down over quite a few big rocks to get in, so getting out could be a struggle. Would recommend some surf/rock shoes to protect feet but definitely worth a visit for a swim.

I would’ve like to stay longer ❤️

I went with a granny of 70 years who just wanted to go back to the hotel. How unfortunate as I was loving the cave!!!!! You can either jump in, or walk down the steps into it. Water is cooler than the sea. Less people than expected. Once in the grotto you can swim into the sea. This was fascinating. And because the Italian people are so well behaved there were no idiots around. A good vibe and a happy place. You can park free. Blink and you’ll miss it. Very close to Torre del Orso beach ,so you can do both in a day.
