Much more interesting inside than outside, and much more decorated than the Templo Expiatorio, I found this church to be more interesting than the Expiatory. Here as well are many Mexicans coming to pray.

There are many beautiful churches in Mexico, this one is just average, nice but not stunning. Walk around the old town instead.

Lots of history here. Beautiful well maintained Church. The painting of Mary in the Altar was painted in the 18th century in Palermo, Italy and found its way to this magnificent Church.

We attended Mass here and were quite taken by the spiritual ambiance of the Catedral. We recommend a visit here as the building itself has some stunning architectural features. It is also a wonderful place to stop and pray
