What can I say but we did this as an late season hike and it wasn't worth the effort that we needed to put in as the lake isn't one of the better place we have been and is really average but also stating for the record we also were expecting to see fall colours but we must have missed... More

I really enjoyed this hike, it is fairly easy but long. It is quite buggy and I would make sure to bring heavy duty bug spray. The lake is incredibly beautiful, but we couldn't stay because of the bugs. The side trip to O'Brien lake was wonderful though. It is quite a bit smaller, and you crossed through a beautiful... Taylor lake was recommended to me as a good place to start when looking for an easy beginner ski tour with no avy hazard. There is exposure if you venture much beyond the lake turnoff and follow the ridge though. That's also where the fun skiing is. The nice thing is that it is downhill the entire way out. I... More

Boring hike in, not a lot of views, however, it is not a busy trail, and the fishing is good at the lake.
