What an experience. The drive through Banff National Park was absolutely stunning. Beautiful lake Louise coupled with a trip on the ice explorer to be able to stand on Athabaskar glacier was truly amazing.

the views on this road are awesome and totally different between winter and summer. for info the drive from Calgary to Jasper is about 5 hours but that would be a shame not to stop and explore on the way.

The drive from Lake Louise to Jasper is a two-lane highway through glaciated mountains with stunning views. We drove it north and south and were equally amazed going each direction, though most of the scenic pull-outs are on the south side of the road. Note...More

I had not driven the Icefields route 93 North from Lake Louis towards Jasper for >30 years. The road is rough in many areas, but the scenery is first rate. We saw Rocky Mountain Bighorn Sheep on the sunny eastern rocks. We stopped at the...More

Because of all the reviews I read on TripAdvisor about this road, we hired a vehicle so that we could take our time & see it all. Spring was late in Canada this year so all the many beautiful lakes were mostly still frozen. But...More

Want to let all know that Alec the driver of the vechicle that took us onto the ice was fantastic. He has a great personality and even after being hit in the nose by the door of the vechicle due to the fierce wind, he...More
