We have travelled the Rockies from Colorado to Alaska and the Rocky Mountain views in Alberta are second to none. The Valley of the Ten Peaks is beautiful as are most of the other many spectacular views to be seen in Banff and Jasper National Parks. If you plan on visiting our Parks, I suggest you allocate at least a... More

Moraine Lake and the valley of 10 peaks by far the most spectacular lake ive seen in my life. Anyone should go up there to check this lake out if you are in Banff NP.

Go early in the morning and watch the sun come up the mountains and reflect them into the lake. In short, one of the top views in the world.

Larch Valley (Discover Banff Tours): Graham was our guide for this hike. Trail was very busy but Graham did a great job keeping our group together. The trail has a lot of switchbacks making the steady climb up easier. There were many photo opportunities during the hike. Once we reached the valley there was sufficient time for lunch, rest and... Above the delightfully scenic Moraine Lake is the Valley of the Ten Peaks, AKA, Larch Valley. The route up from the lake has lots of excellent switchbacks so that the elevation gain is not to challenging even for the novice hikers and families. It's a big open valley, and so there is space to find spot to rest or have... More

We started our hike to Larch Valley at 7am - you need to arrive at Moraine Lake early so as to get a parking space. It was a steady uphill hike all the way to the junction with Sentinel Pass, but the views of the Ten Peaks along the way and from the junction are well worth it. On our... More

This hike is easy to moderate and offers stunning views of the valley of the 10 peaks and Moraine lake. We hiked in early June and still encountered areas of deep snow that were still easily passable. We had lunch just beyond Eiffel Lake and intended to hike the steep section to Wenkchemna pass but the snow got the better... More
