Ride around the lake

Beautiful drive. People were parked all over, and parked very poorly. Well worth a visit, but not on a long weekend.

A beautiful lake area so picturesque even though it was still frozen. Wish we had more time to walk all the way around the lake. Just magical.

Once a beautiful, peaceful spot, but it has now been ruined by the development by Brewsters and Parks Canada. Completely ruined. It's like the mall at Christmas. Hoards and hoards of bodies. Disgusting.

Beautiful a very close to town of Banff. Frozen and not really "open" when we we there. Appears to be a popular summer spot.

We seem to be doomed to not have a good visit to Lake Minnewanka. Last time in Banff was late September& it was basically closed. This trip it was frozen. Still can picture the beauty of the lake but it was a disappointment. Disappointment was due to the season & not the lake.

Ok it was a beautiful weather day and perhaps not as nice if raining but gorgeous lake and mountain views. Some picnic tables available and flush toilets.

This spot is conveniently located just outside Banff. Parking is easy. Very relaxing hike where we saw cute mountain goats and ground squirrels. The lake is absolutely stunning. Careful where you hike because of the bugs flying in the rocks - best to stay on the path.

1 km walk to the canyon bridge is partially paved. Easy walk to a nice view of the canyon. Ranger tent is a short walk from the parking area - friendly advice offered for area sightseeing.

We've been here a few times with friends to walk around the lake. We started with this over a year ago, as I was just beginning my exercise regime and needed an easy hike. We never went too far and it was super easy to do. After now having read some of the other reviews, and being a lot more... More

Hi H0nestH0telReview, thank you for this review. Nice to read a small part of your journey. Hope you can make it back up to the lake soon to enjoy some healthy time along the shore. We'll have kayak rentals this summer available for rent on the dock, might be another nice way to enjoy the views and get some exercise.... More
