This is a paved biking path beside the Trans Canada highway between Banff and Canmore. It's scenic and a lot of fun to do for a half day or full day activity.

My tip for the day if you want a less exhausting ride - Start in Banff, and end up in Canmore. We headed into the wind which really made it a more difficult ride than it should be. But the scenery was really worth the...More

One of my favourite walks in Banff National Park regardless of where you begin from. The mountain view experience is beyond description. One of the best things Banff National Park offers.

26km bike trail from Banff to Canmore offers jaw dropping vistas! mostly downhill, 2 lanes dedicate bike trail, surrounded by the rockies. There is shuttle service for $10 if you want to do only one way.

I got up early Sunday morning and ran about 12 km of the legacy trail. It was fairly quiet with a few bikers on the route. Nice run fairly flat and peaceful.

No the grade is actually very easy there are a couple of hills but they are of the short steep variety. The trail was made for the average cyclist

No, it is not and not recommended as plows will push snow from the road onto the trail, sometimes from above.
