Apart from being at the high point of the Icefield Highway Peyto Lake, the Peyto Glacier and the moraine field between them are great sights. Beware, it is crowded !

Well worth stopping. Be a tourist and enjoy the view. It had snowed slightly and it is a steep climb in spots. We were dressed for it and it was nicer than we thought. Lots of interesting info and things to see - nature. Great...More

Well worth a visit. The walk to the lake viewing platform from the car park is slightly up hill, but is reasonably short. I think it is suitable for most levels of fitness. We didn't see any wild life on this walk, but there was...More

A little steep but not a long walk to great views of the lake. Well worth the stop, especially on a clear or semi clear day.

What an amazing sight to see this lake! It is surreal! If you do the walk in winter don't forget to get the "gators" otherwise it can be very slippery. The view from the lookout is indescribable. Photos don't do justice to the real beauty...More

The lake appears a beautiful turquoise colour only at the right weather conditions, so it would be best to check the day's forecast before heading over. It was a foggy, overcast day when we were there 2 days ago, so not a great view. Needs...More

Peyto lake is a short walk from the parking lot. There are no other trails around Peyto.
