This once was a great canadian scenic place, but now has been over run by foreign tourists to the point that it is no longer fun or enjoyable to visit there. Prices are outrageous and even the lake is not as crystal clear as it...More

What a lovely place . We went for a pleasant walk alongside the lake and were amazed by the beautiful colour and the wonderful view we had . This was made better by small animals scampering around . This is a must if you are...More

The scenery is breathtaking, just like the photos you see on the internet. It gets incredibly busy though and the hotel overlooking the lake just looks totally out of place. I know it has been there since 1890 but I was disappointed as it is...More

If you are travelling in summer make sure you get here early. We arrived just before 8am and managed to get a car park without having to wait for ages. Arriving early also meant we didn't have to get through bus loads of tourists to...More

Lovely lake to view, we were there in November and the ice was just forming. Great place to walk around, when you get cold go into the Chateau at the lake. First class all the way.

Quite a few people sharing the view but I loved the sight of it. It was a bright , sunn6 day but quite a chill went through me when I saw the colours of the lake and surroundings.

Short easy walk around Lake Louise with stunning scenery about you. The chateau and mountains give one a feeling of the Alps. Very crowded though which does detract from the experience.

Bundled up we very much enjoyed a solitary walk along with snowy shore trail, with a pampered lunch at the Fairmont Chateau at a window table!

This is a must. The canoes are quite expensive but most definitely worth it. So picturesque. You won’t regret it!

Hi Annette ... There are canoe rentals at the boathouse on the west shore of the lake. However, life jackets are a must when you are canoeing, especially with children. It is a great experience, but I would ask at the... More
