We visited out of season and a lot of the animal areas were closed for refurbishment but as we explored further it got better. We enjoyed the penguin area in particular. One of the penguins jumped onto the edge of their inside enclosure which was...More

The Calgary Zoo on a warm, sunny day, is the perfect outing. But then again we are Zoo aficionados. We went for a family activity and found lots to do. This is a large, well laid out zoo not far from the center of Calgary,...More

This is amazing place, where you will spend hours and even don't notice that. I recommend to check in advance dailies programms of animals feeding and come in advance to enjoy the show.

Took kids to my hometown for the first time. And of course the zoo.... Great experience and not as expensive as I was anticipating. Entry fee was high, but while we were in there shops and beverage stops weren’t AS bad. Still pricey.

Went to the Calgary Zoo for the night light show. Amazing that they put on such an excellent light display especially for the kids.

Amazing as always i thought it being cold out the animals would be hibernating or not out. I was cold walking around but the animals were active and seem to enjoy the cooler temps

My wife and I took a Rocky Mountaineer trip, and while in Calgary we visited the zoo. It is central to Calgary, and is easy to get to, but in late September it was winding down. Apparently the "season" ended, and some attractions and most...More

It's best to go right when they open. For one thing, most of the animals are more active in the morning and you will often get a chance to witness them being fed. Also, going first thing in the morning means you're one of... More
