Ok, since 2012 the Garden has been closed more often than it has been open. When it was re-opened the place was about 25% smaller and opened up to be a food court for the mall. They have less than half of the plants they had. No waterfalls or bridges to meander by. In fact the place is complete junk... More

Devonian Gardens in the heart of Calgary within the Core shopping centre is a delightful and peaceful area to enjoy some lunch or a respite within your outing. The area is filled with green plants and a coy pond and lovely tiny birds.

We were spending our holiday in Banff but deliberately delayed our arrival so we could spend a morning shopping in the Mall. Our only disappointment was that the Gardens were closed for refurbishment however, we were delighted with the sales and couldn't resist a few purchases. We will return and let's hope we get to see the gardens next time.

This is a great place in the middle of the Core shopping centre to find a spot to chill and relax. But unfortunately can get busy at lunch time as it fills up with people from the many office blocks or during the holidays as parents descend upon here with their children. Let the wife loose in the shops on... More

One of Calgary's most cherished parks, and its only indoor park, has been experiencing problems ever since a revamp a few years ago. There are a lot of water features and planters full of thirsty tropical plants, and somewhere there's a serious leak. Some of the businesses below had been hit with water, and worse, Calgarians and tourists alike have... More

A beautiful oasis in the middle of all the hustle and bustle of downtown. Lovely plants and beautiful big koi. A great place to sit and think or enjoy a moment of peace and tranquility. It's right next to the food court so lots of people have their lunch there.

To me this is a therapeutic garden, because it's indoor and warm, with soft music playing in the background.

I'm sure there were good intentions with the renovation, however it was nicer the layout before. It is mostly green and before it was green and with flowers. Yet I still like to come here because you can have some sense of greenery around you in such a dry area like Calgary.

This is where Calgarians go to eat lunch, listen to live music,...where toddlers learn to take their first steps, young teens go for their first kiss, high school sweethearts get married.
