Use to live in Cranston and go almost everyday to the river bank. It's gorgeous over there! Fishing was so so though.

For some nice views of the river or good fishing, use the bike paths or just stop at the many benches for a little picnic along the river.

There are many paths alongside the Bow River. You can actually find them online as well, for biking or walking. I used the bridges as my set points. Great workout! And, the time just flew by.

Fisherman from all over the world travel to fly fish our world renowned Bow River! Beautiful scenery all along the length of the Bow. Well worth the trip for the avid fisherman. There are many good guides that work the Bow to offer a wonderful experience for any level of fisherman.

We had seen all of downtown but found this beautiful place to walk around. There was a bicycle race that day and it wasn't crowded at all.

Start along the Icefields Parkway south through Banff National Park along the TransCanada Highway through Calgary. Wildlife, vistas, great fishing and tubing, you can do it all.

Tube down, bike along, run and drive with this river in the summer...skate on it in the winter and be led by it all year year across Alberta for the best hikes and trails for all the sports you can possibly think of. Nature at its best.

Excellent walking paths along the Bow River. Many people raft or fish in this vast and long river. Picnicing is a must.

I live on this river in Calgary. The fact that it begins over one hundred kilometres away in the Rocky Mountains gives it such a lengthy charm that one can easily find its majesty even in the smallest of places. To walk or cycle along the Bow is a journey that ebbs and flows. There's so much beauty to discover... More
