Lots of summer tourists, but I understand why. Just remember NOT to get out of car to take pictures- if bears get used to seeing you, they will endanger their own future by coming closer to towns.

Worth a quick stop to see the falls. The glacial water is unlike anything I've ever seen, so beautiful.

A beautiful ride, it takes you back to the days when North America was unspoiled. The river water is so clear it looks like water from the Caribbean Ocean. Could never get enough of the twisting meandering river, this river wraps around the city of...More

We saw the Bow River many different times during our stay and it never disappointed. Some views were nice enough to sit down and stay for a while. Great for canoeing and kayaking.

Nice place to go with kids and family. Better stay 1 night at Banff and spend more time there and hiking, a lot to see in summer time.

Bow River is very clean considering it runs through the city, and has a beautiful walkway running alongside it.

The Bow River starts in the Rockies and goes through the north part of downtown Calgary. In the summer, you'll see many people in the city floating down the river in inner tubes and little rafts.
