Historically, settlements arise where water is available and Calgary is no exception. We are blessed to have the Bow and the Elbow flow through our fair city. Development to take advantage of the views and leisure opportunities along the banks is an ongoing process. World-class...More

Did walking along the Bow River but also had the experience of floating on a raft with a guide. This is such a good trip and I would highly recommend it. About 1 and a half hours with views of the downtown and under both...More

It's so awesome to boat from rural Bearspaw into the big city of Calgary towering with buildings....the differences along the shores are revealed slowly but excitingly!

Andrew was extremely confident and engaging with couples on his raft. His passion and knowledge of the area was exceptional. We thoroughly enjoyed our raft trip with Andrew as our guide.

We hired a boat and floated the Bow into the city, great day out with a picnic. Easy to park at both ends to reload boat

We traveled many miles along the Bow River through Alberta and had to stop several times along the way to view mountains, glaciers, and falls.

Bike trails or walking trails on either side of the river make it a good way to spend a day with friends or family! Would recommend it for a stroll, a walk, a run or bike ride any day!

The Bow River starts in the Rockies and goes through the north part of downtown Calgary. In the summer, you'll see many people in the city floating down the river in inner tubes and little rafts.
