The other one is the Calatrava Peace Bridge. This Centre Street Bridge is reasonably attractive, now that it has been renovated. The four lions are works of art. Nevertheless, in comparison with other bridges in Canada, the USA, Europe and Asia, it is not particularly...More

Even though it is more than 100 years old, the Centre Street Bridge is one of Calgary's hardest working structures. Many vehicles use the upper deck to get into the downtown in the morning, and leave downtown for the north after work, and the City...More

The neat thing about this bridge is that it is the delination point for the four quadrants (SE SE NE and NW) of the city. It is an old bridge that crosses the Bow river, North of downtown. Opened in 1916, it has two decks;...More

One of many historic outdoor attractions in Calgary. Include this bridge on your downtown (Bow) river walk. Has the four lion statues on the 4 corners of the bridge.

Now just over a hundred years old, this is Calgary's most beautiful bridge. Not only is it a critical link for traffic going to or leaving downtown (watch for the tricky reverse lanes during rush hour!), it is highly popular with downtown joggers and walkers...More

This is a historical bridge and overlooks the river. One can take a slow stroll here to take in the sight as well as walk to the hill which will overlook the downtown.

Bridge serves it purpose for vehicles and pedestrians alike. What else does one say about a 100 year old bridge.

The hike up the hill is a good cardiac workout. I found I had time to park afew blocks in off Center Street and walked downtown just because I could one sunny day, the hick back took abit more effort.

This bridge is a beauty - Calgary's prettiest for sure. And very handy for anybody trying to get around in the inner city. The lower deck is a 2 lane short cut from Riverfront Avenue to Memorial Drive - just watch your vehicle height, and...More
