It's a great green peaceful area. A huge off leash area next to the river where dogs can have a great time. Very relaxing place.

This little park has a lot to offer. Get in early or book your site as this little gem will fill up fast as parking is at a premium. Enjoyed a beautiful day at Sandy Beach park with the kids this week. It was fairly busy with lots of families and dog owners strolling the beach. The water was cool but refreshing. We packed a picnic and stayed for 3 hours! Highly recommend to everyone.

We walked this area on a weekend balmy day in February, and it is a peaceful, beautiful spot, for walkers, runners, cyclists, and dog walkers! The trees and blue sky were gorgeous, and photographers would also enjoy it here. There are washrooms, an off leash dog area, a playground, picnic areas, and, the glorious Elbow River to top the scene!... More

Been coming here since I moved to Calgary in 2000 Great for a nice walk, family,,friend BBQ lots of picnic tables. Floating down the river ! ( gets crazy in summer river is packed ) Only down side there is no fishing ( you can fish but good luck) One thing Calgary needs more of. Overall Great place to visit

This park has a lot of picnic area's to have family gatherings and there is a play area for young ones to enjoy. The Elbow River is close-by to enjoy the water with kids and rafting.
