Movies seem to be in and out of the regular movie theatres much quicker these days so if you miss seeing a movie you were hoping to see in the regular full price theatres and don't want to wait until it's released on Pay TV, this is the theatre to see it in. Overall the staff are friendly and personable,... More

It is a shame, so inaccurate to call Canyon Meadows Cinema a discount theatre. It is true they have amazing prices, $5 per person for a movie, less for kids. We caulk the mid day show of Captain 'America - Civil War. My wife things the popcorn served there is better tasting than the first run theatres. The seats are... More

The theater is old, but its the best price in Calgary. The carpet needs a good steam cleaning, and the smell is not very welcoming. The price for popcorn and pop is similar to the expensive theaters. The quality of the screen is nice and the sound is very good. The seating is not very convenient for short people and... More

Cheap theatre showing movies that just got out of the major cinemas. Comfortable roomy seating. Was very happy with our first visit and will definitely be returning.

Tickets are $5. Most of the movies come right out of the first run theatres. If a movie is horrible. It's $5 not $13-$16. Yes, the Theatre is older, but what do you expect for $5? Depends what part of the city you live in. It's a long drive. Make a night of it. Go for dinner and cheap movie.

Economical doesn't permit the owners to stale popcorn or over cooked small hot dogs. I recognize profit is important with cinema food, so you would think there would be some focus on quality. There are inconsistency's regarding theatre security there are many times no staff properly checks the theatre for feet up on seats. Seems folks do it most before... More

What a great place to catch a movie that was removed from the mainstream theatres. For $5 and some little more for popcorn, it was worth the drive from the north.

I come here all the time, I love this place! When you don't want to spend $20 in the regular theater, just wait a bit and see it at Canyon Meadows for $5. I get a movie and a kids pack (small popcorn/drink and candy for $12.50) How can you say no? :)

My wife and I love coming here because the cinema is in good shape, and we get to see movies for $5 bucks each. When compared to the $109824908239089058 that Cineplex charges, $5 seems like an excellent deal. Of course the movies aren't brand new, but we don't care. Hurray!
