Great place to walk around, shop, eat, and have a drink with a friend. We stopped at the market and looked around, and ended up going back to Whyte Ave just to people watch and grab a bit to eat.

Edmonton is not a very exciting city, but Old Strathcona has a very nice flair. Check out the Wild West Facade Houses on Whyte Ave, Farmer's Market on Saturdays and some of the side alleys for some real nice street art!

I lived in the Old Strathcona area for years and I would say it is one of my favourite places in Edmonton. It is especially enjoyable in the summertime! There are alot of buskers and public artists which I find phenomenal.
