Decided to drive up to Maligne Lake, instead of doing the canyon again (which was very busy). Well worth the 45 minute trip. The drive is awesome - enjoyed the views - don’t speed! There is lots of parking. The kids (6 & 4) enjoyed...More

The lake is a wonderful destination. It's a photographer's dream. When we visited there was still ice on the lake which is a reminder of the environment that creates such beauty - forests, snow capped mountains, rushing rivers and creeks pouring into and leaving the...More

Thanks to the advice from a local restaurateur we visited this area. The mountains were still snow capped, the lake was still mostly frozen and the scene was jaw droppingly beautiful. The day was quiet with few visitors and there was abundant wildlife to see...More

First things first...the drive up here. Not only spectacular but we also managed to see a whole load of wildlife of the way up here including bears, moose and eagles. So for that alone - make the trip. The lake itself is yet another stunning...More

Maligne Lake is probably my favorite or 2nd-favorite thing to see and do while in Jasper National Park. It is very scenic and photogenic. There are several hiking trails around the park and you can also rent or take your own canoe or kayak out...More

serene lake and mountain at Maligne Lake. Not sure if it was worth the $$ for the boat ride. I felt it was overhyped But one of the bucket list to do in Jasper.

Of all the drives we did throughout Banff and Jasper, this was the one that provided us with the most views of animals. Probably a bit of luck but we went early and were rewarded with about 10 different bears including both black bears and...More

I don’t remember a place where you can stay in Lake Maligne. However, I think a beautiful place is the Alpine Village cabins in Jasper (also Tekarra Lodge cabins). This area where cabins are is beautiful natural environment... More

I have no idea as I am not a doctor but I will say the boat tour is 90 minutes and very smooth. They are the only motorized boats on the lake and go slow as not to disturb the canoers.
