Stunning views, better driving conditions given the recent improvements, but beware the fast drivers.

I have been travelling this route for over 30 years and the Sea to Sky highway is better now than it has ever been. Yes, the scenery is stunning and it is worth taking your time to explore the lookout points of interest and the new Sea to Sky Gondola (which, on a nice day, shows you the entire Howe... More

So, try for clear day..(yeah, sure) and make this drive. Runs about an hour or two, not sure, as I always stop and look at places along the way. Hopefully, have a nice road car, but anything will do. Honestly, this road is so beautiful, I run it a few times a year. At least Vancouver to Squamish... Consider lunch... More

its a wonderful place to visit. on well sunny day , you can see beautiful birdeye view of Squamish and can enjoy the nice trails. in good traffic it only takes 45 min from Vancouver downtown. I would suggest this place (Must See) for sure.

I thought Colorado was beautiful, route 99 toward Whister had nature I never saw before. Mountains ,lakes, parks and waterfalls everywhere. The trees were beautiful and the timing for the fall colors was perfect. Route 99 was a well maintained paved road with plenty of signage . Stop by all the small towns along the route. This is a must do... More

We traveled from Vancouver to Whistler for a few days and back again along this highway and never have I seen such views and scenery in 1 stretch. The photo shoots are endless and we spent most of the journey clicking away. You have it all ocean and mountains, spectacular. Excellent upgraded road so very comfortable journey.

Unfortunately on the day we had to drive this highway from Vancouver to Whistler and back it was cloudy, rainy and BAD visibility. As I really love driving it still was a VERY enjoyable drive, on our return trip the weather had slightly cleared and we could see some of the SPECTACULAR scenery we had missed on the way to... there are plenty of new passing lanes and views along the Sea to Sky Highway since it was upgraded for the 2010 Olympics. Stop and see Shannon Falls on your way to Whistler and go on a little hike to enjoy the waterfall. Squamish has lots to offer along the way and for those who like kite surfing this is... More

I drive this highway from Vancouver to Britannia Beach for work and love it. The views all along the highway are so beautiful. From the ocean to the mountains. On rainy days the visibility can be low and it gets slippery so be careful. It is a windy road as well but still an easy drive.

We drove from Vancover to Lillooet and the first part of our journey was the Sea to Sky Highway. The road gradually climbs along a very long inlet up to Squamish, going through former native land. The views are great, sea, mountains and of couse the dense BC forests. The road is a 2 lane highway so drive with care... More

You can't go wrong with this road. Stop at Horseshoe Bay for a quick lunch either before or after then head north, either to Squamish or continue to Whistler stopping at Shannon Falls. Easily compared to the fjords of Norway as the mountains drop into the sea. Many legends told about the First Nations who settled there long ago and... More
