Thursdays are Free

Make sure you go on a Thursday as there is no admission charge. It is a small museum that had three local exhibits. Popular with kids with activities.

I enjoy taking my four year old on Sundays to their family art class. It's inexpensive and fun to get creative as they always have a new activity.

This is a relatively large building but with only a few exhibits. It is only $5 entrance fee but I visited on Thursday which was free. I spent most of my time at the "Grapes and Tortillas" by Deborah Koenker. This exhibit will be in this gallery until October 30th. There was several parts to the Exhibit but the majority... More

To be fair, this is the first time visiting the KAG. While regular admission is only $5 for an adult, I am glad that I arrived on a Thursday, when the admission fee is waived. There were a couple of exhibits that were a tad odd- Wally Dugs and For All is for Yourself. However, Grapes and Tortillas was an... More

An interesting display but very sparse. The major exhibit was a collection of photos of local migrate Mexican workers with their thoughts on being in Canada. It was rather repetitious but endearing as well.

How can it be that a city this size has such an empty art gallery!! We never find anything of note on display! The Vernon Art Gallery actually gets the Grad Show from the Kelowna Art students! Not sure what goes on at KAG but "not much" comes to mind. We were there recently, it had one art display and... More

Small gallery with free entrance on Thursdays! Open, airy, but quaint. The exhibits change frequently enough, and are always feature lesser known artists. There's also an interactive room -- great for kids!

Always love to visit Art Galleries on their free or discounted nights. Apparently Thursday is that day for the Kelowna Art Gallery. Unfortunately, the main exhibit hall was being utilized for a private function and we missed a whole section of the gallery :( This is a very small gallery and really takes approximately 30 minutes. They are showing an... More

We stopped in here as something to do for an afternoon....I bought two hours of parking, but all we needed was 30 minutes. Tiny gallery, but well presented. I enjoyed the members showings the most. $5 entrance fee, but if you go Thursday's it's free. I'd recommend a Thursday visit! :)

We went to opening night of an exhibition of artist members of the art gallery, It was a classy event with food, wine, music and very good art. We were glad we went.
