This is a great island to visit during your stay in Nanaimo . They is a old folklore of a white haired animal living on this island . Nice to walk around being a drink and snack with you .

Love this small cute island. It was 10 $ for a person for a trip for 2 hours. It has wonderful beach and walking area plus coffee shop

This island is almost untouched except for the hiking trail and pavilion the perfect place for families to a stroll or hike or just a picnic, swimming is also recommended

Relaxing walk around the gorgeous Newcastle island! Only a 5$ round trip ferry ride off of Nanaimo and good for all ages and people. Lovely beaches to relax and swim at all along the trail and beautiful look outs over the city of Nanaimo

Most of the trails are bike-friendly. There are a few branches off the main trails where you'll want to either dismount or just put the bike away. But, generally, the island is OK for bikes.
