It's called Lheidli T'enneh Memorial Park now. It's a fantastic park for throwing the frizzbee and the kids can go on over to the sand park. They also have a great area for doing volleyball. :) Also, it connects to the exploration place, a great museum.

Fort George Park is like the hub of the city. A nice walk, a play place for children, a beautiful place for weddings, a picnic or music festival.

L'heidli Tenneh Memorial Park has something for everyone. For the kids, you'll find a water park, a playground and a museum along with a miniature train. The museum invites children to touch items in the exploration boxes and climb aboard a boat as well as dig for dinosaur bones. For the history buffs there is a First Nations burial ground.... More

There is an area with fountains in the summer where kids enjoy getting soaked and running through. Nice gardens near the back of the park. Lots of green area to sit and relax. Benches overlooking the river off to the side of the green area. Quite a few trees which provide shade on sunny days. Swings, an old fire truck,... More

Greater than the sum of view, it holds enough interest to take in all the aspects of the park. Open area for music, Railway mini-steam train, Exploration Place, Walking Trail, bicycle wonderful, and playground.

GREAT FAMILY PARK.. Exploration Place museum located there as well as a great and very reasonably priced train ride on a real steam-powered train! There are also many events throughout the year that use the park and there is even a bandshell for entertaining. My favourite event every year is celebrating "Canada Day in the Park" with lots of entertainment... More

This is the biggest and best park in Prince George The name has been changed. It is now the Lheidli T'enneh Memorial Park. The park includes a performance band shell, playground, water park, picnic areas, volleyball pit, paths and gardens. It is close to Exploration Place and the Little Prince Railway. Unfortunately there is no longer a covered picnic area.
