Bjorn had kids of his own, enjoys talking about them and hearing about yours and loves it if yours are with you. Obviously, he's a great skipper and a great fishing guide, but he's also great with kids, wants them involved at every step of the process, and is always willing to teach (as much as they can handle) about... We went out with Bjorn after the Wickinnish Inn recommended him. It was the first time we'd ever fished and Bjorn took care of us very well including teaching us how to fish. Bjorn knows the fish well and has a good knowledge of the local history which he gladly shared with us. His boat is very clean and well... More

I have never written a TripAdvisor review before but I thought Bjorn and his 1st Class Fishing outfit deserved a good review. My two boys (10 and 12) and I went winter salmon fishing with Bjorn in late December and had a wonderful experience. Bjorn kept the boys interested and engaged with wonderful stories, interesting tasks on the boat, and... More

I looked forward to this trip for a long time, so it was disappointing that we didn't catch a fish. It would have been nice to know that the salmon were mostly gone (upstream) before spending $500 to go around in a small circle for four hours. It was foggy and Bjorn let us know he really didn't want to... More

We had two bites we almost landed one...inches from the net. There was thick fog and I was concerned about not seeing rogue waves in the fog, at low tide it is often the case...I would have liked to jig with you but felt it was a bad call given that you jig where the reefs are. I apologize for... More

We came out to Tofino for a birthday weekend with a group and despite knowing it was iffy salmon season we decided to find a charter. We stumbled into 1st class fishing and I'm so glad we did. I doubt anyone could know these waters better than Bjorn does. Nor could anyone have more stories than him; every one either... More

I have been running my own charter for many years and gone out with quite a few. This is a STANDOUT talented individual who runs and provides a great experience. We wanted something different from salmon . He came through with limit of halibut , skate , octopus and rock fish while watching breaching whales . Fish was cleaned and... More

The first time my girlfriend and I went out with Bjorn it was during the winter months where the fish are hard to catch but we hooked three decent sized salmon but I lost two, the one we did reel in was a beautiful salmon with a large belly wall and it was just a wonderful time out on the... More

I went fishing with a group of 5 guys with Bjorn, and we had a complete blast. The boat was a good size for a group of 5-6 people, and was well-outfitted and in good shape. Bjorn knew exactly where to go for fish, and we hit our limit of 15 good keeper rockfish in less than two hours of... More

Our family (2 adults and 2 older children) has been fishing with Bjorn for many years. We always catch lots of salmon and or halibut and have a great time out on the water. Bjorn keeps his boat and tackle immaculate and he is knowledgeable, friendly and flexible. Our family looks forward to seeing Bjorn and going fishing as part... More

Bjorn is the original man. He runs a great boat and is a pleasure to be with. No question he knows what he's doing. Best fishing trip I've had in Tofino, ever ! Catching a 95 halibut in rough seas is no small challange and we were certinaly up for it. I'm pretty sure we caught a Canada Day record... More
