Considered by many to be one of the best boardwalk hikes around, you will be immersed in the natural serenity of the temperate rainforest. You can take the easy stairs to the beach, where you can gaze at the gentle waves crashing in. During low tide, an inviting passage presents itself so you can make your way to a small island where you may find bald eagles soaring above.

Schooners Cove is nothing less than invigorating and rejuvinating. Truly a picturesque adventure.

If you want to take a beautiful walk through the woods and then open up to a gorgeous little cove, this is the walk for you. The walk has many steps but average people can do. The cover is a good spot for pics or walking. Go when the tide is out. You walk over to the island and get some... More

Schooner Cove is one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen in my life. It's quite a hick through the rain forest to get there, but it's worth every step! My heaven is mountains and ocean, and at Schooner Cove you get the best of both worlds. This place is excellent. I wish I would have known about... More

We saved this walk for a day that we knew would be sunny, as we'd heard that the views were great. The walk through the forest to get to the beach was beautiful (very similar to the Rainforest walk also in the park), and the trail opened up to the most gorgeous view we saw during our stay in Tofino.... pay your parking; it helps with the maintenance and creation of a great boardwalk through the rain forest to this secluded beach and plan on low tide to maximize your time once you are there.

We walked the trail and it's a relatively narrow boardwalk so you need to pay attention to people going the opposite direction. The trees, flora and fauna are vivid green and pleasant but of course there was some rain dripping from the trees. The cove itself was pleasant to walk on at low tide but wouldn't be as nice to... A beautiful 1 km each way hole on a boardwalk through the rainforest but with lots of stairs (up and down). Gorgeous beach at the end of the walk for strolling, but the walk in and out is only for the healthy and those with sensible footwear.

My husband and I were looking for a place to take our dog for a walk but it was pouring rain. A waitress suggested we try Schooner Cove. Brilliant!! Just a short drive out of Tofino and signed well, with ample parking. Schooner Cove is a walk through the rain forest on a wonderfully built wooden path system. The heavy... More

Schooner Cove, among many other places close to Tofino is a great beach, where you can walk for hours and enjoy tranquility and freedom for yourself. I´m looking forward having long beach walks again there.....

I enjoyed the trail to and from Schooner Cove just as much as I enjoyed the beautiful cove. Even the stairs did not discourage me. Great end to the day and wonderful walk on the beach.

This was one of the best trails I've ever done. It's fairly short and quite easy although there are about 400 steps that take you up and down the small valleys you cross on the way to the beach. Lots of big old trees, hanging moss, and other details that make this seem like a forest out of a fantasy... More
