Wow, wow, wow! So worth waiting for! We originally booked over two years ago for our Golden Circle journey. With Covid, our trip was postponed and rescheduled three additional times. So very many wrote negative comments about no refund, but this was a journey we had waited years to take, so it just meant waiting a bit longer. Our RM rep, Amber Colquhoun, worked tirelessly rescheduling and coordinating us each and every time, always friendly, helpful and taking time to reassure us, inform us of updates and answer numerous questions. My only regret is not being able to thank her in person and give her a big hug! Our trip was outstanding and the organization and execution of details almost flawless! We felt pampered and welcomed by hosts and culinary every day onboard, with every Covid prevention being followed at every turn. Sanitizer was readily available and bathrooms cleaned very frequently. Coupled with their wit and knowledge, hosts made the landscape and views come alive! Our Gold Leaf crew went above and beyond in every way! The culinary crew turned out 5* cuisine for every meal on board! Presentations were so pretty, portions perfectly sized; cooked and seasoned to perfection! We were offered plenty of options that the need to repeat a meal was unnecessary. We wanted to try them all. Deserts were delightful, mid morning and afternoon snacks were yummy! Drinks, wine and water flowed freely throughout the day. Oh - and the warm cookies - YUMMMM! Needless to say, sometimes dinner after disembarking just didn’t happen. We had one of the best tour drivers with Brewster Tours named Mike. He was amazing and felt like an old friend when it was time to part ways. Our other driver was ok, just didn’t quite connect as well. Having included luggage handling with our package was the best choice ever! Bags were picked up from our room, and waiting in our rooms on arrival! Best decision made by far! All but one of our hotels were wonderful. The rooms were spotless, the beds REALLY comfortable, concierges helpful and locations within walking distance to shops and restaurants, or free shuttle service provided. The one hotel issues have already been addressed, and in the big picture was not more than a blip in a 2 hr. movie. Fairmonts and the RimRock were fabulous! We travelled with another couple, and our rooms were always no more than room apart. Again, RM linking our itineraries, worked perfectly for us. RM may not have had a thing to do with the glorious and magnificent scenery that unfolded daily for us to experience, but they made the EXPERIENCE of seeing all of God’s incredible artwork, the best possible experience ever! Covid made everything happen in unprecedented ways, and companies needed to make drastic cuts to stay afloat. We knew, no matter what and no matter when, we wanted and would take this vacation. Leaving our money with RM until the trains were ready to run again, and people were safe to travel again, was the BEST decision ever! Thank you to RM and your incredible employees Amber, Jennifer, Julie, Peter, Gena, James, Mae and the ones whose names have slipped from memory, for a true trip of a lifetime! We’ve been home one week and already have our photo book being printed so we can be sure to share our vacation with everyone. We also hope to be repeat passengers in a few years! Faye and Dan Coe

We so enjoyed the westbound, Calgary to Vancouver Rainforest to Goldrush gold leaf trip. Charter bus from Calgary to Jasper, via Banff and Lake Louise. The drivers /guides were all excellent. Our day tours were wonderful and having free days gave us the opportunity to explore on our own. Hotels were exceptional. We boarded the train in Jasper and the Rocky Mountaineer staff was helpful and so attentive. Covid testing the night before boarding was organized and made very easy. Once on the train, our every need was met per Ben and Erica and the talented culinary staff. Food was amazing. Drinks were continually offered. Snacks, cookies delicious. Stories and history by Ben and Erica so interesting. We have traveled extensively and over all this is one of the best travel experiences we have ever had. With covid and wildfires and traveling from the US, we had many concerns pre travel. We are SO glad we made the decision to go. Rocky Mountaineer should be proud of their staff and the service they offer. What a truly wonderful experience. Thank you...

Rockies to Red Rocks… first summer to offer this trip- highly recommend. Trip started in Denver, overbite at Glenwood Springs before ending in Moab, Utah. We were on car 5, comfortable seats on panoramic train….windows were huge, making it easy to enjoy great scenery. Service was wonderful… we had two Kim’s serving us, giving highlights throughout, history of area. Food was awesome…. Views outstanding. Highly recommend this trip…and when borders reopen…plan to take their trip in Canada.

Just returned from a Sept. 2021 trip on Rocky Mountaineer (rescheduled from 2020) and truly had our trip of a lifetime! We chose a self-drive westbound trip on the Jasper to Vancouver route and loved the freedom of having a car to see whatever we chose and set our own schedule. The RM-booked accommodations at Fairmont hotels in Calgary, Lake Louise, Banff and Jasper were a highlight of the trip. Each of these historic hotels are unique and fabulous. After 7 nights of Canadian Rockies touring, we boarded the train in Jasper thinking the train would be something of a letdown after all the wonderful scenery we had experienced. Even with a cloudy/rainy ride to Kamloops on the first day I can say the train exceeded all expectations. We had fantastic views from our extremely comfortable Gold Level seats, excellent meals in the lower level dining room, lots of room on the outdoor viewing platform for taking pictures, and great service from the staff. When we neared Kamloops, we were given our room tickets and instructions for which bus to board. When we arrived at our hotel room, our bags were there waiting for us, and transfers the next day went just as smoothly. We had a sunny ride the second day and enjoyed seeing eagles and bighorn sheep along the tracks on this very scenic ride to Vancouver. Once again a smooth hotel transfer and 3 wonderful nights in Vancouver. Kudos to Rocky Mountaineer for providing such a high level of service in very trying times.

Hi Maureen, Thank you for taking the time to leave a review about your recent Rocky Mountaineer journey in our GoldLeaf service. We're thrilled we were able to welcome you onboard in our 2021 season after the 2020 season was forced to be suspended due to the pandemic, and we appreciate your understanding and patience in these circumstances. The Fairmont Hotels truly are a special place to stay and the self-drive package really ensures you see more along the journey - especially along the Icefields Parkway. Our Team work hard to deliver a world-class service and it sounds like the whole journey was seamless throughout so we're happy to hear you had an enjoyable time onboard Rocky Mountaineer. What a great moment being able to see the wildlife as well! Thank you again for your review and choosing Rocky Mountaineer for your vacation. We hope to welcome you onboard again in future. Kind regards, Sean

Fantastic staff on the Rocky Mountaineer trip - Banff to Vancouver, Sept. 11-13, 2021. This was an amazing experience on the Goldleaf car. A big thank you to "Ashley" who certainly made our trip most enjoyable with her terrific personality and service second to none. We were part of a tour group, and without exception everyone loved the staff. Meals were fantastic - great selection & options for all . The history & sights were so well presented!! James should be nominated as an all-star performer and educator, as his energy and sense of humour elevated the presentations. Worth every penny, for sure.
