We viewed the terminal the evening before we embarked Coral Princess and were impressed by the structure. However the next day it was far from being perfect. As we left our hotel on a Saturday morning by taxi we were soon caught up in traffic chaos as our driver informed us that 3 cruise ships and 7500 passengers were checking... More

Convention centre on either side, starting point of hop on hop off bus rides. Starting point for the free Capilano bridge shuttle. Vancouver fly over and cruise ship terminal. Near the water and lots to see and do. Nearby tourist gift shop was well priced compared to many others we saw. Coffee shop (coffee drop) was lovely, quiet, clean toilet,... More

We had to use this place to embark on our cruise on the Nieuw Amsterdam to Alaska. As we arrived our coach could not enter the usual coach park as it was turned back by police so our party of seniors had to take our own cases down through the coach park area to the collecting halls (no other term... It was a great place for sight seeing, have some photo memoir and even meeting friends. Close to the attraction and activities like Fly Over Canada, Olympic landmark and of... More

We were driving a rental car from Seattle to embark on a cruise leaving from Canada Place - we were staying 2 days in Vancouver before hand to tour the city. The day before we ventured out to learn where we were to drop off our rental as the drop off location was indeed Canada Place. We drive directly to... More

We missed this the first time we were in the area. We only had 30 minute parking, by parking meter, even though I put in for one hour, it just accepted 30 minutes. There is public parking to the south of this area, which I noticed afterwards. Walking down the walkway or boardwalk was fascinating. Wonderful views, lots to look... More

I've been to Canada Place a couple times and we stopped here on Canada Day too. It was surprisingly organized and easy to get around the crowds. Great place to watch the fireworks!

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
Vancouver's business district, the Downtown area is bustling with smartly-dressed folks balancing their lattes and briefcases to and from work. The area's plethora of contemporary commercial, residential, and corporate spaces has bred a landscape of nouveau restaurants, chain cafes, and upmarket shopping options. However, located right on the waterfront of Vancouver's energetic Harbour, Downtown is a also popular public meeting spot, with a massive public library and convention center attracting a bevy of visitors both local and not, as well as a hotspot for the arts, being home to some of Vancouver's most cutting-edge galleries. With behemoth architecture and a professional air, Downtown means business.
