This place is really small, for it's location and ticket price I was expecting FAR more than a handful of areas. The amazon area is depressing and heart breaking. The birds can't really fly about and looked feather pecked and miserable. Monkeys don't belong in an aquarium let alone so many in such a TINY cage. Just awful. There are... More

Lovely displays of jellyfish and a meet the ray display. Adorable (rescued) sea otters and dolphins, but not keen on the tanks the dolphins were kept in.

Without a doubt the best aquarium I have seen, some creatures have been there all life, which says a lot about their habitat. Very clean, and some amazing jellyfish, Amazon poisonous frogs, truly incredible, some of the dolphins have been rescued and seem happy. Huge tanks full of active fish all swimming around happily. To top it off it's in... More

Very high quality with lots of exhibits for all ages. Geared for kids but our teenagers were excited. We stayed several hours. Overpriced food. We had a rainy day but that didn't hamper our visit much. Expensive but worth it.

Something unusual to do on a nice day. The displays and exhibits are nice enough for the pricey entrance. But the place has an existential tension between what it is and what it tells people it is. They are awful defensive about trapping animals for exhibition, so they tell you about what a great thing they are doing for the... More

I here in 1986 and then again now, 2017. That will be enough for another 30 years. The jellyfish, starfish and anemone were cool but otherwise, the whole thing was a bit disappointing. No sharks, reptiles were not visible, birds were minimal, nothing bigger than 2 dolphins, 4 penguins and 2 otters. For the price and the hype, I was... More

Staying in Stanley Park

Neighbourhood Profile
Stanley Park
Stanley Park is Vancouver's premier spot to get up close and personal with nature and animals. The grassy expanse offers outdoor teahouses and stunning views, beachfront hideaways and splash parks. It is a typical getaway spot for friends and families, especially as it is home to Vancouver's aquarium, and some of its best equestrian outlets.
