Visited in October and still lovely for a walk including Stanley Park. Nice sunset and chilled atmosphere. Cafe & coffeeshops nearby. Hire bikes and cycle along the sea wall. I imagine it would’ve great in summer.

What a gorgeous way to spend a sunny day! Great views of the bay, the city, and down along False Creek. There’s so many neat sculptures and landmarks to see throughout as well.

A beautiful bay, lined with logs and an inukshuk at the end of the bay. We stayed in the quaint Sylvia hotel, overlooking the bay

A lovely beach to relax on the Sun in Summer, and to enjoy in August when there are Fireworks. A short walk to Stanly Park with its many attractions.

We stayed at a hotel within a short walking distance of English Bay. Daily strolls on the walkways, dining in the restaurants, and sitting on the beach was time well spent!

Great for spending the day relaxing on the beach, good for people watching - loads of cyclists, water sport activities etc. Really lovely place to watch the sunset does get pretty busy but the view is worth it

Of course English Bay is at its best on sunset, but always worth a visit for a stroll or just enjoying the view from one of the many benches.

English Bay is a happening place. My only complaint is that it can get too busy in the daytime. If you like to be in the crowd. This is the place for you.

West End
A hodgepodge of landscapes, the West End combines
verdant gardens and blocky modern architecture, with
Victorian bits and Edwardian bobs in between. It is a
paradise for takeout food, take-away coffee, and
perhaps incongruously, some of Vancouver's most
languid lines of beachfront. English Bay and Sunset
Beach invite swimmers, strollers, and picnic-lovers to
take in dusk settling over the water, or to jog along
