If you are in Stanley Park then you need to take a stroll back via Third Beach and Second Beach to see English Bay. A pleasant walk and very charming bay views.

Lots of restaurants, accommodation, and sunbathing. Not unusual to see sunbathers out in January, take your own stroll or bike ride around nearby Stanley Park, grab a latte or souvlaki at any nearby shop, and enjoy.

It is a superb place to be specially in the evenings. nice beach, less waves, Cold water, lot of locations / background for photos and many more. hundreds of restaurants around with mouth watering street food. I won't miss the chance to be here again...More

English Bay has amazing walkways and caters to all ages and can facilitate anyone with physical limitations. The enjoyment of strolling along a level walkway and taking in the sights is truly wonderful!!

Probably better for walking and relaxing than swimming given the time of year when I was there - a wonderful beach close to the city and good for a family picnic.

What a lovely beach and park to stop for a while, relax and have a bite to eat at the beach. We cycled here and brought our lunch and it was just the perfect spot to enjoy it with such amazing views!

The place is a heaven in a sunny day, it has a stunning beach, pedestrian track and cycling track that takes you to the seawall, in addition to nice seats and refreshment stations along the road. We have spent amazing 3hours enjoying the beautiful weather...More

Joe F., taught people how to swim at this beach. Great beach to this day. Close to food places, downtown area, Davie Street.

Really close to downtown, it´s a good place for sunset watching. You can do the shoreline walk around Stanley Park and finish it here. I like calm atmosphere on this beach, people are just enjoying pure nature. Definitely you shouldn´t miss this place.

This provided a wonderful outing for my kids. With little kids you are kind of limited in what you can do and this was a great place of fun with restaurants and food trucks around.

West End
A hodgepodge of landscapes, the West End combines
verdant gardens and blocky modern architecture, with
Victorian bits and Edwardian bobs in between. It is a
paradise for takeout food, take-away coffee, and
perhaps incongruously, some of Vancouver's most
languid lines of beachfront. English Bay and Sunset
Beach invite swimmers, strollers, and picnic-lovers to
take in dusk settling over the water, or to jog along
