We ended up there during a dragon boat festival, and they had lots of tents with vendors selling food and alcohol etc., as well as commentators and the race. It was also very scenic and crowded.

Enjoyed the dragon boat races and the free music as part of the festival. Lovely walking along the water, easy walk from the city.

what WAS once an industrial waterway in the centre of Vancouver is now a clean tidy BUSY liquid highway for aquabus, False Creek ferries, and local paddlers travelling from Chinatown and the east side to Granville Island under the Granville and Burrard bridges to Kitsilano....More

A convenient waterway to explore Vancouver and Granville Island. Two small ferry companies run up and down False Creek to the major attractions so may be worth buying a day pass and enjoying strolling around between ferry trips.

On a visit to Granville Island it is worth taking a walk on the waterfront area and admiring the views of the city of Vancouver from False Creek.

the view on the picture is not how it comes accros when on the water, we weren't impressed with the views or the cleanliness of the water. The ferries are a good means to get to Granville Island but not really a sightseeing something

Neat little boats taxi you from many docks all day. Great views of the city. This creek has Granville Island on it and beaches. Neat boat houses and many private boats. Nice way to see the south side of the city.

It is a great place to walk around. The walk along the water is superb and you can drink your cofee on seats by the water

Whenever I visit Vancouver I try and visit Granville Island and area beaches to refresh my memory of why I am so lucky to live in such a beautiful area. A must if you visit Vancouver to view the scenery From False Creek

West End
A hodgepodge of landscapes, the West End combines
verdant gardens and blocky modern architecture, with
Victorian bits and Edwardian bobs in between. It is a
paradise for takeout food, take-away coffee, and
perhaps incongruously, some of Vancouver's most
languid lines of beachfront. English Bay and Sunset
Beach invite swimmers, strollers, and picnic-lovers to
take in dusk settling over the water, or to jog along

It is easy to get all around Vancouver. The water taxis are great to get across to False Creek.
