Our Guide Paulo offered interesting insight into the city and park around us, and we got a lot more from the trip than a simple bike ride. You may only do it once on your visit so turbo-boost your experience and get a tour with Cycle Tours. Riding at a relaxed pace we had a great day out!

We are fairly experienced city bike tour participants, and Paolo's 5-hour tour of Vancouver was high on our list of best ever. First, the city is gorgeous (we had a particularly splendid, sunny day). Second, this tour covers the entire city - from downtown to Stanley Park to Granville Island (a very nice lunch stop) to Olympic Village. Paolo was... More

My husband and I are 30 year cyclists and cycle the world. Vancouver has wonderful bike ways and bikes are the best way to avoid traffic and enjoy the city. Pick up a bike map at the tourist information bureau. There is nowhere in Vancouver that you cannot get by a safe bike route. Cycling Stanley Park is wonderful. There... More

We took the Grand Tour and it was the highlight of our few days in Vancouver. Paulo is a fantastic guide and not only showed us all around the city but he also explained what it was like to live in Vancouver. We have done many city tours and this was definitely one of the best. Vancouver is great for... More

Half day cycle tour prior to a cruise. My husband and I don't ride and are not really fit and in our late 40s but we found this tour quite manageable as long as you can ride a bike. Great way to see the park and back streets of the city. We did the half day tour which was just... More

This ride was my favorite part of our vacation! First off, I love the Norco City Glide bikes. Super light and sturdy. The terrain was easy for the most part. One steep hill in Stanley Park, but doable enough if you put your heart into it! Our guide Greg was able to really tell us some good stories about Vancouver,... More

Pablo is a great bike tour guide! Today I went on "The Grand Tour - Vancouver Encompassed" with Cycle City Tours and Rentals. This was a well thought out trip that took us to a variety of interesting places throughout the city (Stanley Park, Olympic Village, Granville Island, etc). We covered a lot of distance, but it was never physically... More

I've done several cycling tours in various countries so I've a pretty good handle on what to expect. There were 13 in our group ranging in ages from early 20s to a woman in her late 60s (she had an e-bicycle, the battery of which failed twice during the tour; must have been a big inconvenience for her). I feel... More

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We are very sorry to hear that the tour was not quite what you expected in some ways and that there were a few hiccups on that day. Our Grand Tour generally gets rave reviews and is as posted, approx 22km on largely flat, separated bike trails, over the course... More

Wasn't wild about the actual tour, but Greg made the mildly interesting more interesting. Was supposed to end at 3 and didn't arrive back to the shop until 4. Had we had another appointment, would have been a problem.

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Vancouver's business district, the Downtown area is bustling with smartly-dressed folks balancing their lattes and briefcases to and from work. The area's plethora of contemporary commercial, residential, and corporate spaces has bred a landscape of nouveau restaurants, chain cafes, and upmarket shopping options. However, located right on the waterfront of Vancouver's energetic Harbour, Downtown is a also popular public meeting spot, with a massive public library and convention center attracting a bevy of visitors both local and not, as well as a hotspot for the arts, being home to some of Vancouver's most cutting-edge galleries. With behemoth architecture and a professional air, Downtown means business.
